Denbigh High is our only High School. We chose to assist primarily from the referral of Carlton Grant who referred the principal Ms. Janice Julal.
Ms. Julal is our only Principal / UZAZI Member.
Denbigh High is huge with 1,700 students. A large campus articulated creatively using every possible space to suffice student and staff needs. Denbigh hosts the most creative staff and student body that is nurtured within a remarkably nurturing environment. Three Cafeterias well staffed and serving a variety of student favorites. We were treated to a rather tasty lunch.
We visited during the Covid Crisis when only the seniors were on Campus. They were well behaved, well molded and awesomely ambitious. The buildings were clean and well maintained. We saw practical school projects where teachers and students welded furnishings and much needed hand washing stations.
From Welding to Math, Sciences, Home Economics and so much more. Denbigh High is a true scholastic enterprise finishing youth towards adulthood with the fullness of aesthetics that prepares a child to become an authentic citizen.
I remain impressed and supremely proud of this tremendously effective academic environment.
We will assist with furnishings, teaching supplies, books to refresh their library, computers, a power planer so that Denbigh can refresh furnishings as well as build new desks, chairs and tables and such.
