Devon Dunn
Exec Director
Devon, a founding member of the UZAZI Foundation, has been an integral force in developing the organization’s concept and has guided it through the establishment and growth as a Canadian non-profit body registered May 2019 though functioning since January 2018. Under Devon’s stewardship, in its relatively short existence to date, UZAZI has had eight successful missions to Jamaica and plans are currently under way to expand the effort further. ‘The UZAZI Foundation is the birth of a mission that we hope will last till the end of time.’
This has been a dream for Devon and an extension of his desire to continue to ‘give back,’ considering that he has worked for almost thirty (30) years in a career dedicated to helping disadvantaged children, adults and the families of those who love them. His passion and experience in this profession has given almost 25,000 children in Canada the privilege to experience Devon’s professional and compassionate touch.
Devon attended Calabar High School in Jamaica before migrating to Canada where he completed his high school education. He then studied at the University of Guelph and Carleton University in Sociology/Anthropology and International Politics.
Devon’s core belief is, ‘To who much is given from whom much is expected.’
