Greenpark Primary Junior High, is in Sandy Bay Clarendon. Principal Audrienne Hayles-Edwards met with us and gave us a tour of the school. The school has a student population of 300.
The buildings have good structure though there is a need for some renovations. The school has a library but the books are quite outdated.
The cafeteria is well outfitted with cooking appliances yet limited venting. The water supply is consistent. The school’s food resources are tremendously augmented by their 4H farm that is adjacent. A chicken coup that allows the school to graduate chicks from stage to stage allowing for consistent harvesting. Also fresh eggs are kept in ready supply.
We can assist with refreshing the library, providing teaching resources, computers and possibly building a container library that could serve that community.
