Little Bay has received much recent attentions for the sake of Keron King the schools principal. During the ongoing covid crises Mr King and his staff have been delivering academic materials by motorcycle taxi to his students.

Originally the school was an institution that many looked down on. Mr. King leads a much inspired staff team that has moved the schools performance to an enviable 80% pass in Jamaica’s PEP exams. His pupils now travel as far as 20 miles to attend.

Children who previously had very little hope now realize dreams that are much beyond what they thought they could achieve.

The Little Bay team has down so much with the very little that they have. Their needs are in every facility from education materials, to books, furniture, audio video, appliances for their kitchen and so much more. It is a beautiful school creatively resourced. Their setting is in a poor fishing village on Jamaica’s south coast between Negril and Savana la Mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica. Going into Little Bay is a transcending experience much like going back more than 150 years in time.

We saw a video that went viral about Mr King’s efforts and commitment and thought that we would seek him out to see how we could help.
